Cooper Mortlock

Cooper is a graduate of the Academy of Film, Theatre and Television with an Advanced Diploma of Stage and Screen Acting and a Certificate in Stage and Screen Combat from the Action Acting Academy. Cooper has finished filming for Wayne Tunks’ feature film According to Otto, where he reprised his role as Brady Symons, the violent and intellectually challenged school bully. On the stage, Cooper has played the arrogant soldier in training, Thomas in Uz: The Town at the New Theatre. His prior theatre work involves playing ten different characters in Caryl Churchill’s Love and Information at the Belvoir Theatre. He has also played Bob in John Patrick Shanley’s Women of Manhattan and Andrei Sergeyevich Prozorov in Anton Chekov’s Three Sisters.  

Cooper’s Shakespeare experience has seen him play both Lysander and Snug the Joiner for 63 Globes’, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He has also performed as Romeo, Tybalt and Gregory across two sperate productions of The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet.  

Cooper’s short film credits include playing the embodiment of Death in Time, Indigo Smith in Fixing James Kingsley, and an Alien Creature in Joe Vasey’s upcoming The Villagers. He portrayed Gabriel in Peter’s Spann’s web series Mammon. Cooper has a black belt and fifteen years’ experience in Kenpo Freestyle Karate, which has earned him a disciplined work ethic. He enjoys working tirelessly to train his craft and relishes the opportunity to explore the wide variety of characters that acting presents. Cooper is a proud member of MEAA.
